And So It Begins

Publishers Weekly's best books of 2007.

It's November the bloody fifth.

I don't know about you, but I've got two whole months left in this year, and I damn well plan on reading some good books between now and its end. AtWQ's best (and worst) reads of the year will be posted at the end of December as God intended.

So there.

Gene Wolfe's latest, Pirate Freedom, is due this month (at least according to Amazon.com).

I am with you! But then, I don't limit my Best Books of 2007 to best books published in 2007, either. I do not see why the rush to read things now NOW NOW. Some books have waited centuries for me to read them, and if my lifespan were only long enough others could wait centuries more.

I'm with you, Abigail. If I happen to read the best book I've read all year on December 31, by God, it's going on the list that'll go up on January 1 at the earliest. I hate when they start with the lists so early on.
