No sooner do I wish for more variety in Blogger's available templates than they create a new tool to do just that and stock it with quite a few fancy-looking options. The result of my tinkering is before you, which for me is a feeling not unlike the experience of leaving the hairdresser's five minutes after getting a shorter-than-you-expected cut. Good? Bad? Somewhere in between?

I tried tinkering a while ago but unfortunately I had a picture on the top of the page which kept getting jumbled sizewise (width was reduced and height wasn't and such) so I got annoyed and (not without problems) returned to my previous layout. I am yet to try (in sooooome future) any tinkling again.
Your result is okay, I guess? Not that's helpful much but there.
It's certainly... jolly :-)
I'm not crazy about the colors or the pattern. I liked the new feature additions, but there was no real reason to change the look. The more serious look fits you very well :-)
Well, it degrades gracefully when images are off, which is my default, which is more than I can say for many sites.
I preferred the earlier format, agreeing with Raz that the more serious approach worked better. It's not bad though, and might work fine when I get used to it more.
Well, I like it.
It looks like a Winnebago. Also orange and puce is never the right choice.
I recommend a hasty retreat to the previous theme.
Too tiring to the eyes, way too much white space and it takes literally for ever to scroll.
Literally for ever to scroll? A punishment for the 21st century Sisyphus.
Well, since everyone seemed to hate the background I got rid of it (which should hopefully solve the scrolling problem as well). I'm amused, though, that I'm perceived as too serious for a colorful template...
I like the new look, much easier to read.
That's much better, although kind of drab.
If the whole background was a solid, non-neon color, instead of stripey, that might work.
A light olive background would look lovely, and very Mediterranean! It would also complement and soften the red lettering in the center blocks.
I like the colours and the title font. Unfortunately (late lurker is late), it doesn’t reflow terribly well on my n800. I don’t think blogger has a mobile style. Would you be willing to put more content in the atom feed?
I changed the atom feed to extracts several years ago due to a problem with LJ syndication - the full post updates had created an atom file too large for LJ to handle and it stopped updating the syndication feed.
