Track Changes: Selected Reviews

My review collection Track Changes will be published in August 2024 by Briardene Books. The book collects over fifty reviews published on Asking the Wrong Questions, Lawyers, Guns & Money, and many other venues, and covers books, short fiction, television, and movies in the science fiction and fantasy genres. All reviews have been re-edited and reworked (without changing their conclusions, even when I disagreed with myself).

Track Changes will be available in paperback and ebook, and can be ordered at the Briardene shop, or on Amazon (US, UK).

Advance praise for Track Changes:

"A tour de force , as good an account of the evolving world of 21st-century science fiction and fantasy as I have read. Nussbaum is one of our very best critics: expert, engaged and illuminating. She's also one of the most sane. These essays are full of insight, a strong sense of context, wisdom and judgement, all written with the ardour and panache of someone who really cares. Indispensable." — Adam Roberts

"Thoughtful, intelligent, and perceptive, Abigail Nussbaum is one of the most interesting people talking about science fiction today, and Track Changes is essential reading for anyone interested in the field." — Jonathan Strahan

"As a bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy with twenty years under her belt, who allegedly knows something about quality, let me just say that I am a massive, cringey, over the top, adoring fangirl of Abigail Nussbaum. It's as simple as that. She makes criticism art. There's no one better, and not one moment you spend reading her is wasted. They'll be some of your best. Promise." — Catherynne M Valente

Track Changes will be launched at the 2024 Worldcon in Glasgow, Scotland. A launch event will take place on Friday, August 9th, 11:30, at Argyll 3.
